Their rebrand reached the home page and stopped. The rest of the site caught up.
Hona builds AI case management for personal injury law firms. Their new brand had reached the pages that matter most and gone no further.
A tail nobody could get to
One page done, the tail untouched
The home page wore the new look. Everything behind it was still waiting its turn — a blog, an integrations page, ten practice-area pages.
None of it urgent, all of it months of work. Their team was moving fast on the pages that mattered most, and the tail could wait its turn.
The next page is a message
@Sage Bring the integrations page onto the new brand.
Built on your brand, wired to your real content, checked on a phone. Private link inside.
Awaiting your goChris describes what he wants and it comes back built — on Hona’s own brand, wired to their real content, checked on a phone, sitting on a private link.
He says go, or he says wait.
A feature he parked in July — “find the right spot for that… hold off for now” — is still built, still finished, still invisible.
Seventy-five posts changed brand in a day
Real posts, real thumbnails, working category filters — live on hona.com by evening.
The first ask was the blog: 75 posts still on the old dark-green design.
By evening it wasn’t a mockup. Real posts, real thumbnails, working category filters, two rounds of Chris’s notes, live on hona.com.
Next morning he wanted the long first scroll gone. It became nine posts and a Load more button that can’t break: if the script ever fails, all 75 show anyway.
A product renamed across 158 pages
158 pages swept, none left behind
Hona renamed their AI from “Case Agents” to “Lia”. Every visible instance changed — headings, hero copy, FAQ answers, alt text, social titles — each sentence read back so it still made sense.
Four dashboard graphics had the old name baked into the pixels. Those were redrawn to match, every other pixel untouched.
Where it landed
Seven weeks. 50 changes. The tail is moving.
The long tail is still a long tail. It’s just moving now.
Your rebrand’s tail doesn’t have to be next quarter’s problem.
